Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to the Entertainment Book Fundraiser for 2009. The Anchor Bay Band Boosters sponsor this fundraiser to raise money for the students of the ABHS, ABMS North, and ABMS South, Instrumental Music Programs. We hope a successful sale will insure funding for such things as marching band camp, guest judges and clinicians, sheet music, equipment, student awards and medals, and much more. In years past, we raised more than $12,000 for the Anchor Bay Instrumental Music Program through this fund drive, and have goals to equal that amount this year. With a successful early fundraising effort, we are able to limit the amount of fundraisers we sponsor throughout the rest of the year. We hope you will help us by buying one book and offering them to friends and relatives for further sales.
The Entertainment Book offers great value. There are many local coupons for our area, as well as for national chains. The cost of $20.00 per book is easily recouped by using one or two coupons. There are coupons for restaurants, retail stores, hotels, rental cars, golf games, and video stores just to name a few. The coupons are valid immediately through
The book coming home is for purchase. You may keep the book and send your payment back in the envelope with your child's name on it. This helps us keep track of the orders. If you wish to sell more books, use that book to show your friends and family. These books make great
Many prizes will be awarded to the top student seller as well as for designated numbers of books sold. For the high school students, the sale begins on Tuesday, September 1st, and closes Wednesday, September 30th. Money for sales must be collected with the order placement. Return payments and orders in the envelope with your name on it. Each extra book order should be written on the order form. The total number of books needed to fill your orders should be written in the box provided at bottom. Pick up any additionally ordered books from your band teacher. We will assume that you have kept one book to fill the orders, unless it is noted otherwise.
If you choose not to purchase the book, PLEASE return the book in the bag with your child's name on it during band class on the designated turn in dates: September 16th, 23rd, and 30th so that we may use the book to fill other orders. If purchasing, make checks payable to Anchor Bay Band Boosters. If you are interested in a book from another city/area, you can order out-of-town books online at www.entertainment.com. Enter the "Buy the Book" section and use a credit card for purchase. Just be sure to put in our school code, # 470650, so we get credit for the sale.
Please help us make this a successful fundraiser for the school. We hope it is such a huge success that we can limit the number of fundraiser throughout the year. Also, if you prefer just to make a donation, you can send it in an envelope marked DONATION, with checks made out to the Anchor Bay Band Boosters.
