For the eighth consecutive year, Anchor Bay will be hosting the MSBOA district band festival.  On Friday, March 11, and Saturday, March 12, 2011, about 1,500 students, representing 19 ensembles, will be coming to Anchor Bay High School to perform. This offers us a wonderful opportunity to shine -- again.  Past year's hosting was so successful that school band directors once again rushed to grab the spots available this year. 

We're looking forward to another great festival, but it takes an army of volunteers to pull it off.  On behalf of the Anchor Bay Band Boosters, I'd like to thank those parents who have already come forward and to invite those who are willing to drop me a line.  Even if you can afford only two or three hours, we can put you to use -- as a parking-lot guide, loading-dock worker, concessionaire, guide, etc.  Another way to contribute is by donating some of the items that we are in need to run the concessions area - CLICK HERE.  Please email myself or Carol LaPort at carollaporte@yahoo.com if you wish to help in this area.  Later in March (3/31), we will be hosting the MSBOA State Jazz Ensemble Festival.If you have an interest in helping at that event, please let Carol or myself know that as well.
