Scott Oranchak
Scott Oranchak is in his 14th year of teaching and is presently the Director of Band at Anchor Bay Middle School South in New Baltimore, MI. He received a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music in Wind Conducting from Michigan State University. Mr. Oranchak has been a performer with several ensembles in the area, including the Blue Water Brass Quintet, and has taught private lessons for the past thirteen years.
Mr. Oranchak started his teaching career in New Haven, MI before moving on to Milan, MI. Currently he is in his seventh year teaching in the Anchor Bay School District. In 2004, Mr. Oranchak was awarded the Macomb County Teacher of the Week from the Detroit News. Recently, he has started a middle school jazz ensemble for seventh and eighth grade band students from both middle schools in the Anchor Bay School District.
