8th Grade Band is our top band ensemble at Middle School South.  These students have the opportunity to perform advanced level music that will be the most challenging for any middle school musician. 8th Grade Band students can perform in MSBOA Solo and Ensemble, Band Festival, Jazz Ensemble, Honors Bands, All-State Bands, Youth Arts Festival and many more amazing musical opportunities.

7th Grade Band is our intermediate band ensemble at Middle School South.  These students are beginning to learn more advance concepts that challenge their musical skills. 7th Grade Band students can perform in MSBOA Solo and Ensemble, Band Festival, Jazz Ensemble, Honors Bands, All-State Bands, Youth Arts Festival and many more amazing musical opportunities.

6th grade is our beginner group learning the most basic concepts of being in a concert band.  Students make their first sounds on the instrument here and learn how to read music.  Most of them will be reading music for the first time in the class.
